P.J.
the cockatiel was one very
unique bird. He talked
fluently, and I had the
pleasure of meeting him in
person during my trip to Ohio
during 1998. It may be
hard to believe, but this bird
was like a mini-person; he'd
talk and say things like I've
never heard a bird speak
before. One of the
things I heard him say was
"Mommy, give PJ a good
cookie." My friend Karen
never taught him to speak;
this was something PJ did all
on his own. I doubt I'll
ever get to meet such a
talented bird.

I
could remember SO many times
that Karen and I had our phone
conversations, and I'd hear
P.J. talking in the
background. He'd laugh,
and ask for cookies.....among
other things! I shall
miss him very much.

Quote
From Karen: The
last 4 years of his life he
would say...."Are you a *good*
kitty or a *bad* kitty? Then
ask me "Do you love kitty
Mama?" (Whenever I had a cat
in my arms), then out of
jealousy say, "Mama!! PJ good
kitty!" Thinking that if I
thought he was a kitty he
would get loved on also. :-)

PJ
passed away at the young age
of ten (10). My friend
Karen is devastated, and to
tell you the truth, so am I.
