THE POEM
I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.

So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer.

No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.

I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find.
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time"

Renewing Hope
Poem By: Beth A. Christianson
When your storm seems like
it's never going to end.
When the light at the
end of the tunnel seems
very dim.
When all hope seems lost
and the sky is going to
pour again.
Remember that even in
the bad times, Hope
is just a prayer away.
Look towards the Heavens
for a brighter day.
Rejoice for a blessing
in the storm.
Always know that God is
here, even when we think
He's far.
After the storm comes a
rainbow, waiting at the end,
reflecting from the Sun
to renew hope again.

Though troubled waters flow ahead,
though nothing is the same...
though there is such uncertainty,
and we don't even know who to blame...

I will still continue on as long as I am able
to bring to you, our visitors, what ever I can give.
And, let us pray the world becomes stable
and some day in unity we may live.

I've worked too hard to give up now,
and I hope I've done some good
to show you how we all have something
to contribute to brotherhood.

Everyone has something to share,
a story, poem, or thought...
and no matter where we live, anywhere,
there are fundamentals we've been taught.

That we must live in harmony,
if we are to live at all...
for when we can not do that,
we will surely fall.

I'm just one little feline;
I can't do this all alone...
I need your help to show the world
that we must carry on...

I for one will do my part,
I'd like to encourage you, too...
Yes, my heart will go on...
and on, and on, for you!
