The elderly woman moved her shopping cart out of
the way as the two young ladies rushed by.
"We're sorry but we need to get the cake. The
party is at seven. We didn't mean to run by like
that.
The elderly thin woman smiled..."What kind of
party are you having?"

"It is a graduation party. The cake says, "Hope
all your dreams come true!" They giggled.

She smiled again. "All of mine have... and then I
dream more dreams."

They looked at her in total awe...and shock. "You
mean you still have dreams you want to see
happen?"

She laughed, "Yes, I will be 98 in February. And
YES, I still have dreams.
When I was young, I dreamed of the man I would
marry...When I was married, I dreamed of what my
precious babies would look like and what they
would grow up to be...When they got all grown, I
dreamed of my grandchildren... and thank the Lord,
they are so beautiful.
Now they are grown... and I still dream."

The older of the two spoke up, "What do you dream
of now?"

The woman answered very quietly, " Oh, I dream of
a time when no hearts are ever broken...I dream of a world where there are no wars...I dream of a place where there is no sickness or
pain...and sorrow is an unknown word.
I dream of a time when all people will truly love
each other...And I pray no matter how people
live...
They will always dream... and believe in their
dreams...

And with that she slowly patted their hands and
walked off. They stood there for a moment and then
picked up the cake.

They could not help but stare at the words on the
cake...
"Hope all your dreams come true."

They then paid for the cake, bought a single rose
and rushed out in the parking lot to find the
woman so they could give it to her. She had
touched their hearts... and they wanted to bless
hers...

They ran back inside...and asked the lone cashier
did she see which way the elderly woman had gone.

She shook her head and said, "There was no one in
the store but you two and the help. We were busy
about an hour ago but since then, you have been
the only customers. Matter of fact, we were
thinking about closing after you all came and got
the cake. "

The girls starred at each other in amazement...
and then walked to their car.

Neither spoke a word for a long while as they
drove to the party.

And then the younger of the two spoke up...
"I know that woman was real. WE saw her and talked
to her. Where did she go?"

The older one remained silent a minute more and
said very softly...

"Back to Heaven... I guess."

Dream dreams... live your dream... breathe your
dreams...walk towards your dream...
And never give up on your dream.
